Casual Gold Eye Look

I think I’m sharing this simply because it is freaking freezing in NJ and I really don’t want to venture outside yet. If you don’t live in this area, this is essentially a reference for the weather here:

Note: It’s more like a balmy 21 degrees. I made that a few weeks ago.

Anyway, I did this casual gold eye look and I thought I would share it.
Is it possible to wear gold casually?
Let’s see:

I think so. And it’s super easy too.
What I used:

Pacifica Shadow in Treasure from lash line to crease.
Pink Shade of Maybelline Color Molten Duo in Rose Haze in inner corner and under brow.
Urban Decay 24/7 Liner in Rockstar
Cynthia Rowley Gold liner traced just above Rockstar.
Lip Color: Manna Kadar Liplocked in Lucky.

I really recommend the Pacifica shadow. It was a surprise from Ipsy. Just gorgeous 😍

Till next time.

A little dose of humor…

On the Northern East Coast, we were supposed to get a massive snow storm called Juno. Apparently they are naming snowstorms now. It’s a thing. Luckily for most of NJ and New York it was a bust! Sorry to Long Island and New England. Anyway, when I woke up and saw a smattering of snow I decided to create this meme. Enjoy.

The Lipstick Project: Manna Kadar Liplocked in All of Me.

All of Me is the name of this creamy lip stain. When you hear those words you can’t help but think of this guy…

But if you are kinda old, you are also thinking of this…

That’s for the 30+ crowd.
So, this is a brand that makes the rounds on Ipsy and Birchbox. I was pleasantly surprised when I first tried this.

What I love:
πŸ’‹ Creamy
πŸ’‹No feathering.
πŸ’‹ Color is gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeou

This is a luxury brand, but they run offers on those two sites so you can usually score this for a lower price.

Let’s see it again

Yes I recycled that pic from my last post. The snow has zapped my energy.
Lazy times in the snowpocalypse.

Ace of Face Base: Vasanti Cosmetics Face Base Powder First Impressions

Do you know about Vasanti Cosmetics yet? Maybe you’ve gotten one of their Kajal liners in a Birchbox, or maybe you’ve seen the internet buzz on their Wonders of the World Concealer. I just posted last week about it, and now Birchbox is sold out. I did that. Not really. I can’t break the internet like a KardASSian<
Each time I try something new from this line I fall more and more in love.
I present:

This is how it looks in the compact:

While I can’t report how this will work for me, because this is a first impressions post,
I can say that I like the following features:
πŸ’‹ Oil and fragrance free.
πŸ’‹ Perfect color match
πŸ’‹ Feels like I have nothing on and my skin is not itchy.

Some product details:
πŸ’‹ You will need a concealer underneath for blemishes. I’m using their Wonders in Y2.
πŸ’‹ This is the second lightest shade. They have a guide with model pics on their website to help you match your skin tone.
πŸ’‹ Paraben free
πŸ’‹ No ashy or chalky appearance (their description).

If this works out you will hear another post from me about how I love it so. If it doesn’t, it’s because my skin is a delicate flower that is easily pissed off. In that case I just won’t speak of it again. Maybe I will even erase your memory of this post like The Men in Black do.

But if it stands the test of time like their Wonders Y2 Concealer than I will shout it from the roof tops. Well, not literally. It’s cold out.

Swatch This!: Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation + Concealer

Finally some more concealer variety from Clinique. Can I get an amen? πŸ™Œ
Well, this is technically a foundation AND a concealer

Don’t be confused.

You can use this two ways:
πŸ’‹ All over the face for full coverage
πŸ’‹As a spot concealer.

It’s my plan to use this just where I need it. The less foundation the better, I always say.
Ok, let’s swatch:

(Very Fair to Moderately Fair⬆️)

(Moderately Fair⬆️)

(Medium to Medium Deep⬆️)

Let’s see them with a flash:

πŸ’‹These are Oil Free and are supposed to last all day.
πŸ’‹ I swatched myself to a
#4 Creamwhip. UPDATE: IN THE SUN LIGHT THAT IS WAYYYYY TOO DARK. I AM THE LIGHTEST SHADE, ALABASTER. πŸ’‹Which brings me to my next point, these tend to run dark for some reason which is nice, but super transparent skin tones may be frustrated.
πŸ’‹ When I tested this in store I was impressed how quickly it covered the sins of a past breakout. It looked pretty good under the eyes too (although I would still use corrector first).
Let’s see that in action. “Before” picture coming in 3,2,1…

(No makeup on a VERY good skin day;)

I did three dots under this eye. Yeah, don’t do that. Too much! It is very opaque. I recommend doing it on your hand and using a brush or fingertip.

Let’s compare eyes:

Pretty good but it looks a little artificial on its own. Let’s do some corrector first and a LIGHTER application of concealer.

(Eye on the right has both corrector and foundation)

Now a little color for the Tzone (seriously, just a little).
This stuff is hardcore.

VoilΓ !

In Conclusion:
πŸ’‹ I love this for under my eyes. Even as a quick run out of the house solution.
πŸ’‹ I’m a fan of lighter foundation so I will not use this all over (although it does not look heavy it feels heavy because I’m used to the Pore Refining Solutions)
πŸ’‹ If you want oil-free full coverage than this is your new best friend. Even if you just want a really good concealer to rely on, than this is your new good friend.
πŸ’‹ Retails for 27.00 and is available in most stores now.

Till next time!

Fake Out: Getting sharp lines and winged liner with Nexcare Tape

One time I saw a tutorial of a girl using a bandaid to achieve a perfect line for her eyeshadow.
While it works, the feeling can be described in one word:
OUCH! So I thought there has to be a better way.
That’s when I came across this...

You can get this at Target for under 3 bucks in the first aid section. It is a soft tape that comes off gently, so you can still get that perfect line but without ripping your skin off.

⭐️ I did those quickly just to play around. Here is another look using the more painful method:

This new tape works just as well. Here’s to a fun little beauty hack!

The Lipstick Project: e.l.f. Extra Gloss “Luke”

My boyfriend’s name is Dominic, but I just fell in love with Luke. Luke is the most amazing thing that has happened to my lips.
Btw, this is a gloss I am talking about

Can you believe that is a 2.00 gloss?!! The color is so rich and vampy.

That bathroom lighting, sigh. It takes away from my B.A.M.F. Factor this gloss gives me.

This is ALOT of color, and if you fear it is too much, you can blot it down to this beautiful classic wine:

πŸ’‹Feels like buttah on the lips.
πŸ’‹Costs 2.00
πŸ’‹ Looks like it’s a luxury gloss.
πŸ’‹ Wears like a lipstick.
πŸ’‹ So. Much. Pigment.

πŸ’‹ These new glosses are in stores, but for some reason Luke is only on the e.l.f. website

I will be doing a full post on these soon, because I have also gotten to know a few other colors: Mark, Michael, and Joe.
They are not all Apostle names because there is a Brett color too. I’m pretty sure Brett was not at the Last Supper. He’s more of a character in 80’s movies.
